Directions to the ECE
The Edinburgh Corn Exchange is situated approximately 3.6 kilometers (2 miles) to the South West of Edinburgh City Centre, within the moat area of the capital. This is an area of mixed use embracing both retail, agriculture and residential accommodation.
The Corn exchange sits to the South of Gorgie Road (A71) and North of Slateford Road (A70) two of the main arterial routes into the city.
More precisely the site is situated to the West of Chesser Avenue benefiting from roadside frontage on three sides: New Mart Road (North), New Market Road (East) and Cattle Road (West). Access to the site maybe be taken from either New Mart or New Market Road.
Public Transport:
Edinburgh has excellent public transport and the Corn Exchange benefits greatly from several bus and train routes.
By Bus:
Lothian Region Transport runs numerous buses that run frequently from the City Center Via Slateford and Gorgie. These are the 3, 3a, 33, & 25 (Gorgie), 4 & 44 (Slatford). Both stops are just before Chesser Avenue.
Further information can be found on http://www.lothianbuses.com/index2.php
By Train:
The city is served by two main line railway stations: Haymarket and the larger Waverly station, providing direct links to main Scottish and UK destinations. A connecting train to Slateford station (which is a two minute walk from the venue) from Waverly station runs on the Edinburgh to Glasgow central Via Shotts line and runs approx 22mins past the hour.
